Artist Confidentiality Agreement

Last updated 12 October 2026.

Version 2026-10. Signed electronically by each artist as part of their application.

1. Who this agreement is between

This Confidentiality Agreement is between The Makeup Masterclass (Pty) Ltd ("The Makeup Masterclass", "we") and you, the makeup artist applying to join The Makeup Masterclass Artist Network ("you"). You accept it by typing your full name and ticking the box on the application form. It applies from that moment, whether or not your application is approved.

2. What is confidential

Everything you see, receive or learn through The Makeup Masterclass that is not already public, including: client names, contact details, venues, dates and any personal information; booking volumes, prices, rates, payouts, commission and financial information; the way bookings are assigned and ranked; our systems, the artist portal and this website's private areas; supplier, sponsor, venue and partner relationships and terms; information about shows, events and The Next Opulent Model South Africa that has not been announced; course material, techniques taught in our programmes and anything marked or reasonably understood to be confidential; and the contents of our artist WhatsApp groups and internal communications.

3. What you agree to do

Keep confidential information private and use it only to carry out bookings given to you through The Makeup Masterclass. Do not share, post, screenshot, forward or discuss it with anyone, in person, online or on social media, unless we agree in writing. Do not speak to the media, sponsors or partners on behalf of The Makeup Masterclass, Brandon Walt or Johan Ungerer. Keep client information secure and delete it when a job is finished and paid, unless the law requires you to keep it.

4. Clients belong to the platform

Clients who book you through The Makeup Masterclass are clients of the platform. You will not take, offer or accept bookings from them privately, give them your own rates or banking details, or encourage them to book outside the platform, for 12 months after your last job for them, unless we agree in writing.

5. Photos and social media

You may post your own work from platform bookings on your portfolio and social media if the client agrees, but you will not share client personal details, prices, or confidential information about events and shows, and you will not post backstage content from Makeup Masterclass shows or partner events before we have announced them.

6. What is not confidential

Information that is already public through no fault of yours, that you knew before we shared it, or that you are required by law or a court to disclose (in which case you will tell us first, where you are allowed to).

7. How long it lasts

This agreement continues while you are part of the network and for three years after you leave, and for client personal information, for as long as you hold it.

8. If the agreement is broken

A breach may lead to your profile being suspended or removed immediately, withholding of amounts linked to the breach where the law allows, and a claim for the loss it causes. We may also ask a court to stop a breach. Nothing here stops you from reporting unlawful conduct to the authorities.

9. General

This agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. If a part of it is unenforceable, the rest still applies. It sits alongside the artist terms. Version 2026-10.
