The Makeup Masterclass (Pty) Ltd respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Information we collect
- Details you give us in forms: your name, email address, mobile number, city and messages
- Enrolment and payment records (card details are handled by our payment providers, not stored by us)
- Coursework you submit for assessment, including photographs and videos
- Basic, anonymised website usage information
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and send information you have asked for, such as enrolment opening dates
- To provide your course, assess your work and issue certificates
- To process payments and keep financial records required by law
- To send academy news, only if you have agreed; you can unsubscribe at any time
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the academy, such as our website host (Netlify), payment providers and course platform, and only as needed. We do not sell your information.
Bookings and artists
When you book an artist, we share your first name, venue and booking details with the assigned artist, and your WhatsApp number only shortly before the booking. Proofs of payment are stored privately and seen only by our team. Artists' banking details are visible only to The Makeup Masterclass for paying them.
Quizzes
Quiz answers are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to its processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@themakeupmasterclass.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
